Who is Tembo for?
Tembo was created to empower beginners, but it is just as magical for professional musicians. It is an instrument that grows with you - beginner to pro.
Is Tembo only for kids?
Not at all. Tembo is a playful musical instrument, not a musical toy. While it’s a natural fit for younger learners (we’ve had users as young as five), it’s equally engaging for adults of any age (our most senior resident is 87!)
When and where can I order Tembo?

Is Tembo a stand-alone instrument or does it require a setup?
Tembo is fully stand-alone, and plays out of the box. It has a built-in rechargeable battery, integrated loudspeakers, and factory kits, no computer needed.
Can I connect my guitar or microphone to Tembo?
Please do. Tembo has a combo input that accepts mic-level, line-level, or high-impedance instrument signals (e.g. electric guitar). Moreover, it was designed to jam with your instruments.
Can I use Tembo with my DAW?
Absolutely. Tembo offers:
Analog and digital audio outputs, MIDI I/O for use as a controller, A companion VST plug-in for deep DAW integration
How can I learn using Tembo?
Tembo comes with a rich creative learning ecosystem: printed guides, interactive videos, lessons via Tembo Academy, and gamified challenges to keep you motivated and engaged.
Is Tembo battery powered?
Yes. Tembo includes a rechargeable battery, so you can play anywhere, anytime.
Does Tembo have loudspeakers?
Yes. It features an integrated Class D amplifier and full-range speakers with excellent frequency response. You can also plug in external speakers or a subwoofer if you want extra punch.
Does Tembo have a headphone output?
Yes. There’s a dedicated headphone jack with its own volume knob and an ear-protection limiter to help safeguard your hearing.
